Want to Lose Weight? – These 4 Tips Will Help

It seems many of us are in a constant battle with our weight. We struggle to weight loss it and then we struggle to keep it off. What can you do to insure that you will be able to lose the weight and not gain it back?

The best overall weight lose option is the one of lifestyle change. Fad diets come and go and you will not want to take supplements for the rest of your life. So making a lifestyle change of better eating habits and practicing regular exercise is the perfect weight loss plan.

  1. Eat frequent small meals. Many people mistakenly think that by eating only once a day they will be able to lose weight. This is simply not true. Each time you eat a meal, your metabolism fires up to burn the calories. By eating only once per day you are telling your internal engine to put out the fire and take a rest. If you want to burn excess calories this is not smart! Eat five or six small meals each day to keep your metabolism fired at optimum calorie burning capacity!
  2. Cut calories without starving. You can eat all your daily calories in a banana split and then starve the rest of the day. Or you can eat filling fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and stay happy and full all day. Your choice – but I think I would like to have a happy tummy!
  3. Avoid junk food! Yes, this is an obvious one. But how many times do you think that you can have just a little bit. That little bit turns into an entire bag of chips or a large bag of candy!   4. Exercise – yes, it is that ‘E’ word that so many of us dislike! But exercise doesn’t have to be a drag. Step it up and have fun. Park your car further from the door and walk, take the stairs. Every little bit of movement helps. Just remember, the number one key to burning excess fat is cardio, so get that heart rate up!
